BSG organizers welcome fiber enthusiasts, breeders, volunteers and newcomers, once again to our annual “coming together.” We meet to discuss breeding and raising colored sheep and goats, share our knowledge of fibers and spend time with like-minded folks in the natural colored sheep and wool community.

The Bud Forster Livestock Pavilion and the Beef Barn will once again host one the State Fair’s most popular patron attractions: the animals. The show also provides a great marketing and networking opportunity for our show exhibitors and gives them a chance to educate Fair patrons about the animal agricultural industry.

Labor Day Weekend - Portand, Oregon
Over one hundred artists showing and selling their work, A World Music Stage with a variety of music and theater. An Education Pavillion featuring hands-on art activities for children and adults, Delicious food to enjoy.
Shaniko Wool Gathering
Sept 10-11 - Shaniko, Oregon
Provides variety of wool, and the processes involved in creating beautiful, useful products from different fibers. Maintains the ranching culture and tradition of the north-central Oregon area, by reviving the historic marketplace for wool growers to sell their wares; Provides the opportunity for fiber artists of the Northwest region to find new sources here, and to show their products and services as well.
