We raise Jacob sheep, a primitive breed of sheep, known by spinners for their quality of fleece that is easy to spin and which provides a wide variety of texture and natural colors. Our entire operation, from breeding to spinning, is focused on producing the best quality product. Fleece analysis, washing, and carding are performed right on the farm. This hands-on personal attention insures that each fleece is selected and processed for its best possible end use whether that be for felted products, weaving, or spinning. While we hand-spin some of our yarn for special projects, we ship carefully selected and cleaned fleece to a small custom woolen mill in Lebanon, Oregon where it is spun into yard to our specifications.
